How We Review

Every add-on covered on this site goes through the same hands-on process before a word is published. We install the actual downloadable file on real devices, enable its packs in test worlds, and play with the content in both survival and creative modes.

We verify the facts we print: version numbers, file sizes, supported platforms, and multiplayer support are all checked against the live game and the package itself. If a listing detail cannot be confirmed, it does not go on the page.

Testing covers behaviour as well as appearance. Characters are checked for correct models and animations, for how they act alongside normal gameplay systems like trading and farming, and for conflicts when other popular add-ons share the same world.

When Minecraft updates, published reviews are revisited. Version guidance that no longer matches the game is corrected, and download pages are re-checked so the file you get is the file we tested.
